I learned computing from the bottom up — memory layout, pointers, evaluators, the
machine underneath the framework. That's why a new stack takes me days rather than
months: modern frameworks are abstractions, and I already understand what they
abstract over. My core language is C, written by hand and understood deeply, alongside
Python, Scheme, Java, Swift, and C++. I studied mathematical physics at the University
of Waterloo — through honours mathematics coursework — and, concurrently, study
software engineering at Ontario Tech University.
Every abstraction I use, I can open. That's the difference between someone who
assembles software and someone you can hand an unfamiliar system to.
My background as a musician shapes how I build software. Producing a track means
managing complexity, layering systems that have to work in harmony, and knowing when
something is genuinely done versus merely finished. I bring that same taste and
discipline to every codebase I touch.
